ricky green
Had a call sat afternoon, lambing time has arrived and so has the un wanted diners. well sat night was issing it down, so arrange for sunday night instead.Got to the farm bout half 9`s,bad night for lamping very little wind, nearly full moon, and not much cloud cover .looking round the field were the sheep are nothing there that wernt suppost to be.THis was the same story for the next half dozen fields. Then down in the corner, pair of eyes that says game on .And yep you got it not a safe shot,no backdrop, and sheep the other side of hedge. We`ve all been there,??now as i said fullish moon, open field and the foxes in this area now that rabbit squeel means danger, not dinner so calling is pointless .Any way off he go`s,lost him then .Then took two more fields to find him again. There he was,sat in the hedge, safe this time .auto pilot kicks in,bypod down, flip the butlers, get comfy, lamp on make sure it is what it what it supposed, and yep off the little F%$*" goes again .No sign any where, and my repertation going with him me thinks??Time for second lap, half way round, game on.Auto pilot, only this time dont light him up this time till, just shone the lamp above him to jest locate him.Got comfy, lamp on,good bank behind, tis the fox,and WHAM 55g Vmax,222 does the job again.Dead before he heard the bang.96yards. repertation safe, farmer happy no more sheep gone to date.
