Si-Bore
Hi guys I want to try a 'try' gun - anyone know where they have one near me (Sunderland)? Also I am looking to get a quality S/S and fitted to me if needed but there doesn't seem to be many quality stockers near me or places with a good selection of S/S's? Does anyone know of any? I really want the best advice so that I don't make any expensive mistakes. Cheers Si
radio1ham
you can try bradford and stalker at ouston bank farm or bagnal and kirkwood in newcastle or stve smiths at the shooting ground at dinnington they are all right Edited March 25, 2008 by radio1ham
Si-Bore
Cheers I already use Bradford Stalker - which I like but they do not do the technical stuff. Bagnall I have had advice in the past from but neither of them do the stocking themselves. Will try the other you recommended. Thanks Si

coptleigh
Hi, I know its further away, down in Richmond, but try Gilsan sports, they might be able to help, found the service there excellent in the past, better than the miserable people at B & S !!!!! of is it only me? grasshopper
Mate of mine recently got fitted and renewed his gun at Byewell shooting ground. Large selection of s/g`s and as it,s a clay ground they had coaches there..he was very pleased with the service he got.
Si-Bore
I find them good too. He is very helpful down there but I don't think he can make stock adjustments etc. Weldon gun room look interesting also bywell shooting ground. They have a try gun and some coaches available for gun fitting etc. Reasonable prices too! Si
Blackbart
Cant beat bywell if you want to try before you buy, guns ranging from a few hundred quid up to tens of thousands and you can get some feedback from some of the coaches there or anyone that works there as they are all experienced shooters in their own right.Without doubt the biggest selection in the north east. Cushat
Bywell work with a gunsmith based near hexham who does all their stock work (from new stocks to cast etc) - had quite a lot of work done by him in the past (Tim Scott) and the combination of Bywell quantity of stock/shooting ground/instructors and Tim the gunsmith means they are miles better than B&S or B&K (neither of whom I rate).
