Pykie
i always take 100 into the hide, but have 250 in the car for when those Red Letter Days come round. You really do never know when a day may all go to plan and the birds flock in and your aim is true. Once i only took 100 and sorely regretted it when i ran out and had to make a phone call to get dad to drop more out as pigeon after pigeon came into my decoys and all i could do was watch! dogfox
personally i think clays are completely different to the real thing, it takes 1 pellet to smash a clay, so it gives the delusion that its easy!, i agree it helps LOADS with lead and considering distance to the target and "when" to shoot. urikastu
Right, you wonna know how many. The first time take a hundred cause you'll be hesitent and not be quick enough. Chances are, being late bringing your gun up you won't use so many The second time take start taking 150 cause you'll have a bit more confidence. Once you get used to banging the little ******* take a slab (250) beleave me on a good day you'll need them, even with that many you can run out
