Cranfield
The free CD is attatched to Issue 37 of the Windows XP Magazine and will be in the shops from today (issue is dated 3rd September). Ideal if you are on a dial up modem.
lurcherboy
Don't bother. Computer recovered for a short while, after initial problem with MSN firewall trying to take over the world, now its a slow as a dial up connection. But it might just be me having trouble. If its free, why? LB posted from a computer run by a hamster on a wheel.
Cranfield
The Service Pack 2 is an update for Windows XP. all the other earlier systems had updates, so this is not new. Its a big update as it contains lots of security patches etc. It is important to update your computer. I have downlloaded it from the Update website and have had no problems at all. The only reason its free on CD, is because Microsoft recognise the problem dial up customers will have with the long download time.
