That's because it's Spring and the breeding season of the rabbit population is at maximum breeding output doing what bunnies do best at the moment and they will continue to do so throughout the warmer months. Also the milder Winters mean that the rabbits are sometimes breeding all year round. The young are becoming alot more obvious as they are staying above ground more in the warm Spring sunshine and they will not be as streetwise as older rabbits so they will be more visible.

does start to "get active" at about 5 months a good doe will knock out 3 to 7 young every 30 days and will be usually pregnant 24 hours after giving birth ( if this was evident in human it would mean clearing the table in the maternity ward)

jan to june is peak time but as we all know they do seem to go on and on, ( luckily)
