thirdearl
Hi i have a hw98 and i am looking to get a hw 80 because i have been told these are better to tune, I have sold my shotguns but still want something for the crows, may go the fac route, is the 80 a better option in this case than the 98. cheers
sjk88
If you are wanting to go for the FAC route, I think you may be better buying a PCP for it to be tuned professionally. You don't often hear of FAC springers. There are a fair few lads on here who have FAC air rifles and they will be better to tell you which gun to go for in FAC. sjk
tweedledee
80 is the best to tune with fac in mind.it works well at 22 odd ft lbs.i have no experience with the 98,always liked the look of them though.
peacey
I had the hw80 and was gonna FAC tune it. Most places i phoned never wanted to tune it and those that did didn't seem to think it was worth the expense. Go the PCP route like me. I got a super 10 and it's really really good. Second hand FAC PCP's have a limited market so tend to be quite cheap second hand. Mine was 500 quid including a 12l bottle, scope, bag and some pellets. These in FAC are 650 quid at my local gun shop new. Bargain. Look on BBS under firearms, there's loads of rapids etc.

tweedledee
if the chap does`nt want to invest in a pcp which can be a big outlay then i suppose the 80 is one of the best fac springers around
