Clay Shooting Grounds - Norwich/Norfolk

Recommended Posts

Harnser, I took my first lessons at Mid-Norfolk SS from Mike Reynolds, many years ago, and shot there for quite some time. After I'd left Norfolk a few years ago, I recall that the ground at Deighton Hills was offered up for sale. I think Mike Reynolds was asking about £5m for the 80-acre site.

Do you know if Reynolds finally sold it?

Tirpitz, you may want to give the Mid-Norfolk SS a try, as it catered for Skeet, DTL and Sporting quite well. If Reynolds is still involved, he is a superb coach.

Baldrick ,

Mike reynolds and his wife ,as far as i know are still running the clay ground at deighton hills .I f you have not been there for several years then you will not recognise it . They have spent a lot of money on it ,new club house and hugh shop . It is know fully flood lit for night shooting .They did have a problem with complaints from neighbours about the noise ,so had to build up hugh earth banks around the place to combat the noise pullution .I did hear that the place was up for sale ,but i think that the deal went sour some how . Harnser .

I did go back there in about 2005/5, and was amazed at the development that had gone on. Mike and Lesley had built themselves a house there too, as well as a fairly respectable clubhouse. Certainly a welcome change from the condemned portakabin that had been masquerading as a clubhouse in previous years.
