Ive just bought a 410 made in 1924, looks like it hasn't had a clean since th day it was made! The outside has cleaned up well with a bit of bore cleaner but bit inside itis still quite a state. Ive roded it with a phospher bronze, mopped it clean and repeated till my arms were fit for dropping off. Someone suggested boiling water down he barrells to oen up the pores etc, this helped a little. Anyone got any suggestions??

By the sounds of it you didn't buy this from a dealer (who presumably would have cleaned it up AND checked it over first)? I'd get it checked, is it in proof, is it safe, is your life worth it???

:yes::hmm: :hmm: :):drool:

If its that bad why did you buy it? on that note, i dont mean to intrude but how much did you pay for it??
