well got a new set up for me ferts today an old cattery with shed and run ! excellent i thought so i put my jill and her 5 week old kits into it and fed them and left them all happy !

however whilst jet washing the old one after dismantling it i heard a squealing noise i presumed it was next doors dog attacking there rabbit as this dog is always shut out , went and told her nextdoor !

10 mins later she was shouting at me over the fence albeit 8 ft fence coz there dog wants to eat my dogs and cats

that there was a ferret on her rabbit ooopssssssss !!!

went round and oh dear there was 1 of my jills on the poor bunny !!

so i got her off poor bunny was a tad knackered !

so my missus took it to the vet for her nextdoor it had a damaged eye that needed to be removed a lift up lid to its head and a crushed skull. !

so we persuaded next door to have it put to sleep still cost 95 quid ***

what i dont get is why did a recently fed jill with 8 kits, leave the nest go past my missus pet rabbit in its hutch acroos my garden find a small hole in the fence , cross there garden then get in to the hutch via a 4 inch hole the dog had made 3 or 4 weeks ago ? all within max 0f 5 to 10 mins , and whilst i was there

was the bunny alredy injured and the fert could smell blood ?

am i wrong to have paid the bill as the hole was already there in the hutch

next door rekons the bloke aint happy as it was his kids bunny and the kid is with its mum at the mo !

As much as you think they are a pain she found your ferret eating

her kids rabbit!!!

How would you feel if you found her dog eating your ferrets?

You have already paid £95, for the sake of another tenner

and a bit of humble pie you could turn what must be an upsetting

situation into one less so.

You seem to think that because her rabbit hutch is not ferret

proof she deserves no sympathy.

Your ferret was found with her kids rabbit in its mouth show a bit

of compasion and try to make amends.

thing is we fell out coz there dog is shut out 15 hours a day with no shelter and barks all day ,

i had to put up a new fence because it wanted to attack mine ! this fence wasnt on my side ! the dog has already had a go at my oh yorkie !

however i do not know how the fert got out her run let alone over a 6 foot fence ! and past there dog !

to be honest the rabbit is better off now it had no food or water !

what i want to know is why did it make a bee line for that one as my oh had just that morning put her rabbit out in to a hutch !

the vet said may be the rabbit already had an injury from the dog and the ferret smelt the blood ?
