lurcherboy
I know what it's like. You get home from work very late, or you have to go to work early and your pack gets a little less exercise almost without you really knowing it, but then someone points it out to you that you have a barrel on four hose pipes masquerading as a dog  So please stand back and check that you can do the following: 1. Feel your dogs ribs without having to push hard. 2. When pinching loose skin (if yours has any) there is only skin and no malleable fatty tissue. 3. Take them on a 5 mile walk on lead at least once a day and they should be right on your heel at the end of it. Have fun LB
gdunc
Are two 3 mile walks a day permitted? I'm in the un/fortunate position of bringing on a youngster for the coming season so i'm training on a daily basis too. This is the time to keep them up to speed.

casts_by_fly
I'm lucky in that I could put down 2 bowls of food and roxy would eat one for breaakfast and one for dinner even if I weren't around. If I over fill her bowl she'll just eat her normal amount and leave a little in the bottom. She doesn't get as much exercise as she should this time of year but she has no extra fat on her. In fact she puts on weight come shooting season as she builds muscle bulk back up. Go figure. thanks rick
