al4x
Looks like my GWP has picked up Kennel cough Even better my girlfriends dog also started on the same day and my mums also look set to have it, looks like an enjoyable period for the next few weeks. Sounds like there isn't a lot you can do other than a course of anti biotics and let it run its course but if anyone has any tips that might help that would be great
new to the flock
If you have it over there Benalyne (sp) Childrens cough supresant in liquid forum works very well to manage the cough and is safe for the dog. NTTF

Stig
anti biotics don't generally help unless there is secondary infection. some cough medicine is all that's needed unless there are problems. it'll generally clear in a couple of weeks without intervention. al4x
with the anti biotics the general view was they shouldn't be needed but wouldn't do any harm. As she's never had any before and they cost peanuts from my source it just seems like a precaution. Seems a bit brighter today and didn't cough too much last night. Its just a pain its quite so contagious as we've certainly been in contact with a lot of dogs in the last week so no doubt it'll be spreading fast. Have found it came from a friend who shows dogs and presumably has brought it back from one
