bob300w
hi guys i know you can get adapters for 12g and 20g but can you get an adapter to fire .22 blanks for a .410 if so where can you get them as i have been looking everywhere lol I've never seen one, and it's unlikely as the 22 hole has to be offset to allow the firing pin to hit the rim of the blank, (OD of 410 head .470, OD of 22 .270) there would be insufficient metal left. But I am sure if one exists, someone here will know of it. Loading your own blanks from .455, .44, 45, or 303 cases would be an option. new to the flock
My suggestion would be along the lines of Bobs. Either use 303 brass and just press primers into them or what I do with both my 20ga, and 12 ga, get abunch of empty cases and cut them off at the brass....makes them far easier to carry and store.....then press out the primers and press in new ones. The other option is to drill the primer hole slightly bigger, to allow you to hand fit the primers. Can be done with .410 cases as well. These give a much softer .....in no hard crack......sound than .22 cal blanks and are ideal for starting a dog off or for just keeping them keen.
