dcliff
I remember reporting the English Open Skeet back in 2000, won by Ben Husthwaite (a regular sporting shooter back then). It went down to sudden death. Ben shot 166 without a miss to win. (I called the article 166 not out! ). I wouldn't class any discipline easier that any other - they all test the shooter in different ways.

Yeah, right, around 20 years ago, I saw two USA servicemen at Bentwaters Air base shoot a round of skeet straight, and from the hip. Somehow they did not appear very tested at the end of the round. When skeet scores are commonly 25/25 and sporting scores have never at any event that I have been to been to in the last 50 years, 100% kills, your comments rather fall on deaf ears. viking
just one thing that might be worth a mention mate, do you use the the same chokes for all your shooting, mi used to have a few rounds of skeet but never bothered changing my chokes, then one day i thought i would to see what happened, big differance, might be worth a go putting your skeet and cylinder chokes in if you dont already, cheers, Lee

To add to that .... In the late eighties I was bored of watching John Bidwell shoot 25 skeet straight time after time with his pump..but not from the hip.. But with it inverted from behind his back. That ain't no bull either. I worked for him for three years until I left school, at his first shooting ground. It was the forunner of his trick shooting shows. He has lost his touch now with age, but I can tell you he was pure mustard back then.
