caplock
Hi all Just finished the first tin of RWS super h points (14.7 grain) with a brand new out of the box gun and have read the power on a newly aquired combro cb625 and it seems to be running hot at 15ft/lbs or so. Before tearing the rifle down and knocking a coil off does anybody in bucks have a chrono I could compare results with to eliminate chrono error before pulling my brand new gun to bits?? No sign of diseling so it's either the chrono or the spring. Cheers all P.S how do you calibrate the cb 625?? tweedledee
i`d be sure to let it run in with plenty of pellets before i started lopping springs. try different pellets too
Axe
I'd take the gun back and get it checked, before taking apart and killing any warranty.
caplock
I think it'll have to go back as it's shooting through this thickness of pine at a measured 30 yards with the RWS Super H points and I've never had an air rifle do this in all the years I've been shooting 'em. Oh well better to be legal I suppose http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=64421
TONYG
i dont think a gun would be that much over the limit, are you puttin the correct weight for the pellet in the chrono,i also had a problem some time back with high power readins on a gas ram rifle, was 17ftlb,turned out it was readin the smoke out the barrel. caplock
Cheers Tony, yep got the grains entered correctly and no diseling or smoke trace when the barrel is opened. The pellets are passing through cleanly and still splattering to bits when they hit the slab or steel.
TONYG
how many shots have you put through the rifle now, would of thought with a couple of tins fired,it should of calmed down, just would think with all this anti tamper and guns now being set at around 10,5 ftlb, that a company like weihrauch, would of checked the rifle before shipping.
