Ballymac
Had discussed in Talk from the Field about barley fields being harvested. Got a chance to go out yesterday afternoon, set up about 4pm had literally hundreds of crows and pigeons feeding on the field. Within 3 minutes we had 6 shot, then it dried up, then the farmer came in to collect some straw bales. Gave him a hand to load two trailers and then settled down again Finished with 22 pigeons and 17 corvid not all in the photos. Left the field around 7.30 with lots of birds still about. Farmer is harvesting the rest of the fields so should be some good shooting, and then again who knows. It is very calm here, no breeze and bright sunshine which can affect the birds, i.e. they seem to sit in the shade of trees longer.
