SnOt
Hi everyone, I hope someone out there can help! I've been trying to find out what type of bulb is used in the Logun lamp. I rang Logun & got nowhere fast. None of my local dealers keep them in stock, special order only. I need to know what sort of approximate width of beam there is at roughly 50 metres. Is it really a 'spot' or is that just a sales pitch? Question No2! I've tried lamping lately with a lamp I made myself, it's a 75 watt, 10 degree bulb and covers quite a large area at 50m. I've used a red filter, but as soon as I switch it on, the bunnies take off running! Any advice from an experienced lamper would be much appreciated. Thanks. bobthenailer22
try putting in a vairiabe resistor/dimmer switch between the battery and lamp so you can build up the intencity of the light. regards bob
lurcherboy
snot, Take it to an electrical supplier. Not b&q but one of those who supply trade customers. Thats where I get mine. LB
Vermin Dropper
sn0t Where abouts are you? someone might be able to help if we have a location, Another reason to fill in your profiles boys and girls! When lamping, try switching the lamp on aiming it up into the air, then lower it slowly onto the field, this sometimes spooks them less than just whacking the light straight on them. SnOt
Thanks everyone, got a dimmer switch from a local electrical shop, Too late re. B&Q - went there, bloke didnt know what a dimmer switch was!! Tried my new homemade kit 2 nights ago, stuck some red filter paper on the front also. Worked a treat, 8 bunnies in the bag. Tell me this, is there any signs to look out for regarding disease, apart from the external signs. A mate of mine wants to try cooking some. Lastly, I'm in N.Ireland. Regards All :( SnOt
red_stag88
Check the liver for little white scars. These are a sign the bunny has lived through mixy.
