webber
Did anyone else see the Blair & Co's political broadcast, advertised as the Queens speach to parliament. Having missed the news I watched it. Unless I fell asleep part way through, I dont recall one single reference to the Queens speach. But according to the broadcast, Britain is working?? and we are better than a load of other countries at this, that and the other. Which isnt quite what I think the Queen actually said. Just another example of Blair & Co treating the British population with contempt. The only difference between this broadcast and a true party political broadcast was that I dont think that Labour was mentioned once. So Britain may be working, but I wonder if it is inspite of Labour and not because of them! Did I get it wrong? webber
Cranfield
I am no supporter of Bliar, or the Labour Government, but the Queens Speech is and has alway been, her reading out loud the Government of the days plans, for the next session of Parliment. She reads it, she doesn't write it.
webber
Cranfield I agree, with all of your points. However the broadcasts were supposed to be about the Queens speach, but failed to mention it, except at the beginning and end. I got the impression that the labour machine had cocked up; didnt have the programme ready and so stuck on a make you feel good Britain video instead. Ill only feel good when Blair and Co. are out of their current jobs. webber
