pete evans
i have been using real birds as decoys on my magnet and cant help thinking the artificial deeks look more lifelike. being too tight to shell out 60 notes on a pair of flock coated flyers i have made a couple of dulux coated ones instead out of two old full bodied deeks and some grey rubber mat that i "borrowed" from work. what do you think? Teal
Looks pretty good and straightforward to make. I may have an idea on making the wings more realistic, will get back to you on it, if my suspicions are right. Let us know what the pigeons think
pete evans
will do. if they dont work it may be my field craft not the realism of my deeks pete

That takes a bit of understanding, but I think I know what you mean. Your homemade flying decoy looks fine, I don't think that pigeons have such good vision that high detail is necessary. I think the basic colour and white flashes, combined with the movement, are what do the trick.
