anser2
Scottish Fowler its not only English fowlers that take high shots. The last time I was on the Solway it was early November and there were very few fowlers about with us ( party of 4 guns ) having most flights to our selves. There were very few pinks on the estuary untll the end of the week, but we had some good duck shooting. All was well until Saterday morning when the local gunners were out in force. Any duck up to 80 yards was shot at and any goose up to 100 yards. Two locals with semi autos sat side by side and emptyed there guns at every skien that came off the estuary with BBB shot at ranges I would never even think about raising my gun at. They did get two geese - for around 30 shots. So its not always visitors who shoot at impossible ranges.
