blackbird
your opinion i will only be shooting in daylight thinking of a Leupold V-X1 3-9X50 scope on my .17 HMR good choice or not
harv
go with what you can best afford. remember you will be taking shots at 120 yds plus so the better quality glass will become apparent, leupold are excellent scopes but i would go for a higher grade 2nd hand rather than a vx-1 new. bullet boy
Leupold are a superb optic on any rifle!
casts_by_fly
for the same price (or less) I'd put a Bushnell 3200 elite on. Last I checked, the VX1 3-9x50 was going for $300. The Elite 3200 3-9x50 goes for $200. The 5-15x40 mil-dot with target turrets goes for $300 as does the 5-15x50. Heck, the elite 4200 3-9x40 is a MUCH better scope than the VX1 and is less than $300. No brainer to me. The VX1 is a decent scope, but as with most Leupold you can get better glass for less money. Thanks, Rick
