Fatcatsplat
Just had a look at this place on the interweb - Just outside Chelmsford and offering indoor and outdoor ranges as well as rough shooting over 500 acres. Has anyone on here got any personal experience/opinions of the place? I notice they don't mention prices on the webpage. Answers on a postcard please...... jerico
Yup, its a haven for those without their own permission, its £10 for all day or was the last time I went and you can chop and change between hunting and target practice. The indoor range is great fun and Pete is a top bloke from what I have seen of him. You will have to work hard for your quarry there

Elmer_fudd68
Went to see Pete today to have a look around. Well thought out place, indoor range open till midnight and open from 5am! 500 acres of land to shoot on. Outdoor range with spinning targets, so much choice. £20 intro fee with safety brief and shooting after that all day if you want, else first visit after FOC. Bring your BASC insurance details! £10 all day thereafter. I think it's well worth it, as land is so hard to come by to shoot on. Possibility of lamping once he knows your face! Indoor range is even heated and floodlite with a music system as well! Can't wait to get down there and test out my new AA S410, very close to a few pubs. Plan is morning of shooting and pub lunch then a bit more in the afternoon, not bad for £10! Hopefully the landlords are used to serving a pint of bitter to a couple of guys in camo!!! :good:

SNAKEBITE
I imagine there would be more life in a tramps vest than at Pete's farm now! Unless ofcourse he breeds and releases them into the wild.

Clubshot
Seems many Shooters use the indoor Range more than the fields Not many places where you can site and shoot 50 metres without being effect by wind Not forgetting it is open Day & Night to regular Shooters I have meet Shooters there in past for Pellet Tests BOB/R
