pete evans
sorry about the multiple post but i cant seem to work out how to put more than one piccy in a single post. this is the lamp type by the way
Teal
i don't want to have a specific gun mounted lamp, just a regular lamp to hold and scan fields, where'd you get that one for under £10 and what's it like? Good job btw, if it does the business that's all that matters.
pete evans
teal the lamp on the gun comes with such a crappy litle handle and switch that you wouldnt want to use it for a hand held. for my hand held i got one of those 6v rechargeable integrated battery jobs that screwfix or similar advertise for about a fiver if you shop around , now take it apart and chuck the battery and bulb away replace with 100w 12v bulb (i got mine from home base for a couple of quid) run a cable from the lamp and attach to one of those 12v 7Ahr batteries carried in a bum bag. you now have a light lamp (no battery) with a decent beam (12v 100w) and a longer lasting power source. now the reflector doesnt measure up to the likes of the light force as ive compared them together. im not sure if its 50 quid inferior though
millo2
not a bad job, i might use camo tape though, will blend in with the camo tape i have on my rifle
pete evans
camo tape would double the cost of the lamp and it will be dark when you use it anyway :yp:
