Bleeh
Here's one for you chippy sorts. My ferrets currently live in a rabbit hutch, and wanting to give them some more room I bought another rabbit hutch that sits on top of it.. and Now I've got to combine the two. So has anyone got any idea's what the best way of going around this would be?... I was thinking of possibly running some plumbing tubes between the two.. but I've got no real idea of the best way of putting them in so they stick. Anyone got any other bright idea's? p-a-s
just cut a hole in the floor of the top pen then make a ladder for them to run up,put the hole and ladder at one end so you keep as much floor space as ***,you could also staple some course sand paper etc on the ladder which will help to keep the ferrets claws from over growing if you are not confident about this method just get a hole cutting atachment that fits on a drill cut out the hole and get a piece of corrugated drainage pipe to conect the pens i wouldnt use solid pipe as the ferrets will struggle to keep a grip hth paul
rabbithunter2008
I would go with the ladder idea You can always add a pipe in it later if you want
p-a-s
the only down side with using a pipe is the ferrets sometimes hide food in there, that can be awkward to clean out and encourage flies
