Best thing you can do is get a crono, £40 or less will have you one. Pump your gun up to the maximum the gun is meant to take and fire a string of shots over the crono until the speed is dropping dramatically. Now on paper you will be able to see where you are getting the best shots. I have a FAC daystate harrier and it will give me about 40 shots... BUT it only gives me 21 proper shots that I could relay on. After this the pellet is leaving but with enough fps veriation to give a POI change.

If you find that the first few shots are all over the place, try again with a lower fill pressure as more often than now the maximum pressure will not give the best consistant shots. My gun is rated to 200 or so but 190 is all I need for the best results.

and here me doing 30 mins pumping n kicking off with pump and sweating my boy bits off to try get it to 200 bar

30 mins..... id spend some money on a gym membership!! :good: only messin mate.

After chronoing my AAs410 I used to fill it to 170 bar, as full power started to creep in at about 150 bar. Id then get around 40 full power @ 11.5ftlbs the power would then creep down.

My Webley pump reaches 200 bar with no problem whatsoever and I would think that any pump in good condition should do the same. It may well be that your gauge is inaccurate (not an unknown occurance by any means) so it may well be worth trying it on someones bottle to match the gauge. The correct fill for an S400 is actually 190 bar but as has been stated most S400's sweet spots start at 180 bar or below, so filling over that is just wasted energy. The same may well also apply to your Raider.
