lurcherboy
Napier, Welcome to the best and the worst of owning curs. Mine have given me more pleasure than any other activity besides shooting. But there is a downside mate, they will eventually get old, or ill and then they will make a hole in your heart that you could drive a routemaster bus through. Until then, enjoy, and happy mouching geezer LB.
game_boy
We had two lurchers when I was a kid, since been run down some 12 yrs or so ago, my folks good hapill leave me on the floor in the sitting room go out the room and not worry about the dogs trying to bite me or whatever. You'll stuggle to find a dog with a better nature. The one we have now is 12 years old and is past his best. He's a cracker of a dog being a Wippet/Irish wolf hound cross. In his prime he had taken down many a young red hind when given the chance. Deer were his real skill. Great to watch in full flow. Brilliant dogs!
