As an environmental biologist I find these worrying signs as to whats going to happen in the future. Records show that this is the worse weather in Cumbria for 40 years, and the way we are going its probably going to get worse :D Nothing more powerful than nature

Millo you should be watching Ch 4 right now, dealing with the very subject of the weather changes.

Was out shooting down in the sarf and was a bit windy but Ok.

As for flooding, was noicting Yesterday how low all the dykes were with very little water in them for the time of year, also one of the flight ponds has only just filled up again over christmas, even then it was not deep enuf for the dog to require to swim just wade.

This summer was quite a wet one and the one before very dry, make of that what you will. Plus in sep oct last year every body that thoght they could perdict the weather (either by sceintific means or by berrys and dried seaweed) was saying that this was going to be a cold hard winter ?

God only knows what will hapen, whether floods, turning all to desert or maybe that what is "predicted" in the film the day after tomorrow.

Amazing stuff Tommy, I was listening to CFM to find out what the story was in the morning and the chap was on Wakefield road talking about evacuations. I thought he's gone bonkers, no way! How wrong can you be!

I was worried about my factory (in Cockermouth) as the river had risen to depths not seen for many decades - Main Street was flooded as were a couple of other parts of town. Nothing like Carlisle's situation though...
