V8landy
I assume you are refering to the 90 / 110 version of the Land Rover? And not the Discovery? SWB / LWb realy depends what you want to use it for. Even though I am into Land Rovers mine is a 1967 SWB V8. Main points though are chassie, Chassie, Chassie, oh and did I miss Chassie! Body is Alluminium, (or at least mine is) not sure iff they still are? Bulk-head rot. Yours are a bit too new for me to realy coment on. George1990
Yeh my dad like Landies. He's got an E reg which he's looked after, and recently refurbished the front axle, and had a couple of new engines and a new gearbox, but otherwise perfect. Got a bit of bubbling around the bodywork, but is to be expected. So the main thing is to check underneath, not so much on top
V8landy
Thinking about it, you might be better off getting an older one, there are several plus points. 1 - free road tax. 2 - it will more liley have been looked after/restored (ignoring the above "restoration"!) by a real Land Rover person like me. 3 - less things to go wrong with an older one 4 - if they do go wrong easy and cheap to fix Go for the V8 version and look for LPG conversion or get it fitted. Spaniel
http://forum.landrovernet.com/index.php Go on this web site, im sure there are guys around who would assist you in taking a look at the Landie, im still getting my S3 SWB on the road but they are easy to work on and bits are easy to purchase. There are also a few Landies for sale at the LR Orphanage in Chippenham they advertise spares on *Bay, the guy called Richard up there seems to know his stuff, give him a call cheers
