posters for shop windows

I wouldn't put a poster in a shop window advertising that you are available for pigeon shooting (and the fact you have gun(s) stored in your house).

You should aim your "publicity" directly at the people who can help you, like Farmers and Landowners.

Decide on what is a reasonable distance to travel from where you live, visit all the Farms in that area and ask for permission.

Thats the way it works and I know of no better way to gain shooting permission.

If you get some cards printed with your name, address and telephone number to leave with the Farmers, that might help.

I wouldn't put an advert in any shop window, say like a post office or the local co-op. But I would think putting an advert in a farm machinery dealers or general agricultural shop would be alot better. The main ones around here which our farm uses are Thurlow nunn standens, pecks, ben burgess ect. Not sure whats in your area but there must some franchise tractor dealers about somewhere. Basicly put the adverts in places where farmers go.

I guess you are talking about advertising your pest control skills?? If so whatever you do don't put up posters in local windows - You'll have the huggers camping in your front garden before you get home... It's just not worth it for the small number of people who may be interested in your services.

Go with the advice on here - visit local farms etc with permission letter's, I particularly liked the thread I saw the other day where some enterprising chap had also given the farmers self addressed envelopes - Good Idea I thought..
