southernlad
Been looking for some new hearing protection lately, finding my over ear jobbies are catching on my stock and making a loud BOIIIIING! sound when I fire... so time for something new. I don't like anything that's stuck right in your ear so I thought these looked just the ticket. Any opinions on them? Effective? cheers SL Edited December 5, 2008 by southernlad
Edward
I have got some, they are quite good they do what it says on the box, but I preffer sonic 2 plugs as you can hear much better through them. but If you dont need to hear people talking then the pro 9s are a good choice. oh and they are rally light Edited December 5, 2008 by EdwardtheloneShooter
southernlad
My main concern is hearing protection, followed by price, so if they do that effectively I'm happy, at least until I have some spare cash for electronic ones. steve_b_wales
I've got a pair and was pleasantly surprised as to how good they worked. I use them when out shooting (decoying) on my own but wear the sonic valve type when with a mate so I can hear him talking. The Napier ones are good value for money. jonnyoftheboy
Gotta say I couldn't really get on with them. Found that they blocked sound ok...... but not brilliant...... & as with defenders still didn't really like the whole over the head thing. have just bought some custom in-ear plugs from puretone (valves, not electronic)... £60-odd. see how I get on with them
Billy.
I got some the other week, they do the job, but I found that a pair of my in ear, noise cancelling headphones, plugged into my phone does the job perfectly and it also means you can answer calls without having to take plugs out...! The headphones I use are basically the same as the napier plugs on the end of the headset, except the audio headphones are nice, comfy rubber, instead of plasticy feel ones you get with the pro
