Baldrick
Last time I asked Robert, he told me that David Bremmer was building planning to build a batch of 50-100 new CAM actions in late-2009. It was only provisional though. Bremmer built them originally. If you find one second-hand (unlikely), buy it. Robert did give me Bremmer's number, which I duly lost, but is easily gotten again. Harnser
I can remember them being used for practical rifle shooting a few years ago in 223 calibre . They seemed to be popular at one time untill a couple of incidents when they didnt lock up properly and threw the bolt back when fired . Not a very nice thing to have happen . Apparently one shooter was seriously injured from this happening . I never did like them and would not under any circumstances buy one . Harnser . Baldrick
That's interesting, Harnser. Robert was in no great rush to point out the CAM's shortcomings. I suppose it's little surprise with those tiny little bolt lugs that accidents did happen, although I would imagine user error was also to blame. Harnser
One of the accidents happened at the local range at horsford during a pratical rifle comp . The shooter concerned was not hurt so much as scared . I wasent at the range on that day but had a friend who was and was shooting a cam rifle .He witnessed the incident and never shot the cam rifle again . He was of the opinion that they were not safe and sold it on . The same thing happened at another range again (i carnt remember where abouts ) and the shooter was struck in the face by the the bolt and was seriously injured . I can clearly remember all the talk going round about how dodgy they could be . Harnser .
