Lloyd90
Right I just got my 22LR and am happy but the other day I sold my shotty, it was an old S/S nothing special. Now I am currently without a shotgun but have my 22 Was considering picking up a 17 hmr as I have the slot but my mate says I should get a shotty After thinking about it I probally should get a shotty for some clays and rough shooting Thing is there's so many brands out there I think I'm spoilt for choice. Looking for something round abouts £400-500 quid! Anyone hear anything good about the Midland Gun Co made shotties ? Theres a 30" shotty with MC OU for £375 I think! Don't mind looking second hand, would prefer a MC. Appreciate some tips n help please guys Had alot of help from here with picking stuff :o Hopefully be able to find a nice shotty
David BASC
If it were me i would try before I buy, make sure the gun fits. That is so important To be honest I know where you are coming from - so many guns to choose from! David
pair away
try guntrader mate , you can sort your search by barrel lenght and price and then you will see whats out there in your price range , older brownings/ mirokus or berettas should just edge in at this price , also lambers , ive owened all of these makes at one time or another and they are all good , nows the time if you have the cash , no shop will want you to walk away with your money . good luck. Fit is very important. I am sceptical about looking at them on guntrader because you cant try them in your shoulder and see what there like
Trussman
I'd personally look for a s/h Lanber or Lincoln. Laurona, Zabala and Bettinsoli are also worth a look.
Lloyd90
Tried the Midland O/U was ok fit, wasent bad bringing it up ... but then I tried a S/H Bettinsoli, perfect LOP and came up very well to me eye! Priced @ £595, told me he'd take £550. What do you reckon ? He also said if you cant shoot it then bring it back sounds good to me. Its a bit higher (bout 150) more than I was looking to spend although I much prefered it to the midland one :( Will go down with a mate of mine whos more experienced and have another good look sometime! Trussman
Buy a gun that fits you and also one you like. If you don't like your gun, you won't shoot as well in my experience.
