seisobs
Hi again Guy's Just b4 I came back to work I got another permission to shoot rabbits. I have an open ticket for my .22LR. Does the land need to be checked by the firearms officer or can I go ahead and shoot? Thanks Jake
sapper063
you can ***** it yourself but it would be a curtisy to let them know. make sure its safe and you have written permission to cover yourself and good hunting Edited December 17, 2008 by sapper063
Billy.
As far as I'm aware, the wording on your licence will say that as long as you deem the land to be safe, then it is ok. I had a gunshop owner lecturing me on how he could legally shoot out the back of the shop, just because he deems it safe because there's a tree for a backstop. Dunkield
I have an open ticket for my .22LR. Does the land need to be checked by the firearms officer or can I go ahead and shoot? The whole point of having your FAC 'opened' is that you have enough experience to assess whether shooting grounds are safe without involving an FEO. Although I understand the laws may be slightly different in Scotland, I have an open certificate, but it is 'closed' for the Scottish bit, i.e Roe on my .223.
