Gordon2008
New to this so read the posts in `Cartridges that dont go bang` thread. Wasnt something Id considered before but got me thinking:- Whats the correct procedure when you squeeze and hee haw happens? 1:- Keep gun pointing away from you and others 2:- How long do you leave it before breaking the gun to remove dud / swap chamber Also what cartridges would you recommend for general rough shooting and clays? Thanks Gordon S.W Scotland
Edward
well dont point it at anyone and usually I wait 30sec before opening dont know why it just says so on the top of the cartridge box. Well the best IMO for everything is Hull special pigeon 32grm 6s fibre. but as I cant afford them I use Eley grand prix 30grm 6s which is again a good cartridge. According to Just Cartridge's price lists the 30g Grand Prix loads in 30g are £15 more expensive at £195 than the Hull Special Pigeon 32g load in fibre which is £180 per thousand FM
Patrick1964
I'd also say when opening the gun make sure the cartridge isn't pointing straight at you - in the unlikely event it does go bang you don't want it leaving the gun backwards into your face.
