Sold -
In lovely condition, barely used. Bought to try a 20b and I’ve decided to stick with my 12b for now. 30in barrels, 14 5/8” lop, ejector. Not very long in the stock, so may be more suited to a junior, lady or smaller gent. No knocks, dings or damage. Includes five chokes in a case and appx 175 cartridges. F2F preferred but will RFD transfer (not sure if I can send the cartridges this way though) I’m in North Wales, close to Denbigh but may be able to meet up within a reasonable distance. £475 or near offer

Blimey, were there only 27 episodes ? It seemed to be on all the time when I was a kid.

So good they named it twice

All good, thanks

I'll offer £35 - any good ?

Marmite It costs us quite a lot to rent the land, plus someone has got to make arrangements, meet the guns, put them out, check all is ok etc through the day. If you can shoot for free, you are a lucky man, but please keep your opinion to yourself. If someone wants to book, it's their business, not yours.

Ha - thanks Scully. The rifle is in better nick than the slippers though

The DI xtrail is great, the DCI is much less reliable. If you want a shoot truck then Hilux Surf's are ace (and I've had three X-Trails)

Can't you just get a friend to buy the gun, put on his certificate, then sell it to you when your clean one comes back ? A bit of a pain I admit, but better than losing a nice gun or a bargain.

I'll take the last one please

I'm too slow again :-)
-
On the off chance that Goldie changes his mind I'll have it please.

It wasn't too bad to be honest. Maybe £25 for 120 miles. I've bought oil, filters, cam belt & tensioners but I don't think there's going to be much else other than everything needs lubricating and the sunroof leaks so the drain tubes are going to get cleared out this weekend. Happy days.

Drove the Surf back from Bradford to Denbigh last night in torrential rain and very high winds, not ideal...home safely and initial impressions are good. Car drove well, will have a good look round today and see if it needs anything.

opinions on the miroku mk38 trap please!

They are utter rubbish, but I'm feeling generous so I'll give you your money back and take the *** off your hands. -
Thanks all, I've bought a 96 Hilux for buttons. Having driven round our shoot in my X-trail today I'm convinced I've done the right thing. I know a Defender would be "cool" but I'll bank the difference or spend it on shooting and at least I can laugh when I bend the Hilux.

I'm in need of a vehicle for shooting / dog carrying / tip duties and have a maximum budget of around £6500. If I spend anything like this much then it's got to be pretty much depreciation free, so at this end of the budget I'm thinking a Defender 90 TDi. However, I could bank most of the money and spend £1500 on something else (L200 ?). I have a daily driver so this is just a weekend truck. The vehicle will do about 3000 miles a year and needs to be reliable and off road capable (more so than an X-Trail) What would you buy ? but just as important is why you would recommend them over the other options please.

I planned to call my next dog Moose, but Ted arrived instead. I still think Moose is a great name.
