THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Balaclava, face mask, head net. Whatever you call them. Any recomendations for a good one. Both summer & winter use. Recomendations for those tried & tested ones, not those that look good on the shelf but not tried out in the field. malkiserow
I use a thin net in the summer with 1 hole for both eyes and 2 elastic straps to position the hole.... good for people who wear glasses as well. In the winter I use the Stormkloth REaltree hardwoods one..... very nice and warm and can double as a had when you are near other people! Cosd
I use a lightweight camo head net all year round and when it's really cold I have a black balaclava bought from Millets (very warm) which I wear underneath the camo head net. Thanks. Sounds like the cheap but good option.

Ozzy Fudd
i use a black balaclava when shooting in winter but ONLY if shooting from a hide, gets taken off as soon as i leave and i put a floppy jungle hat on top - walking around here wearing camoflage gear, a balaclava and carrying a gun at the same time is a sure way to find out the response times and accuracy of the local police/army.... Cosd
Is this the one that looks knitted with a "mask" on the front ? I think it is. A friend of mine uses this one and he likes it. It's only a personal preference but I found it was too thick whicj is why I decided on the Millets one. This one is much thinner but still very warm. Only problem is that they don't do it in green, but I haven't found that to be a problem with the headnet over it. http://www.millets.co.uk/Stretchdry-Balacl...rumbs=balaclava

Infront of the mouth is a slightly protrudind section with small holes in to breathe easily
