sirusman
Anyone know the cost of changing a semi from a 2 shot to a 3 shot, magazine is crimped gun is an old Browning A5 Mick
clayman
Do you mean that your magazine tube is crimped to accept only one in the magazine? Usual configuration is that its crimped for two in the tube, and one in the chamber = 3 shot capacity. If you increase the tube to 3 shot or have no crimp, you will have a 4 cartridge capacity, or more, and need an FAC for the gun. It will need a new tube and to go to the proof house. With proof certificate costs, spares and the gun smith, its going to cost you well in excess of £100-00. If it is crimped to just one in the tube ( which means it was set up for those international trap disciplines that are limited to two max in the gun), the procedure will still be the same, just to get two in the tube. Unlikely to be worthwhile.

Lloyd90
Is it hard to get a shotgun on FAC ? Also how much to turn say a 3 shot semi into a 8 or 10 shot semi ? Also would land that your allowed to use that shotgun on need to be approved by the Police ? Or could you use it like a normal shotgun ? Because essentially its the same as a double barrel when it comes to say pigeon shooting (Except it holds more shells ) lol Edited December 30, 2008 by Bigthug87
Mungler
It's not difficult to get a Section 1 shotty - vermin control and a "need" ought to do it. I have mine conditioned for vermin control and clays shooting. If you get a 4 shot or a 10 shot it matters not, they are each Section 1, so if you do go section 1 shotty then the obvious route is not to mess about with 5 or 6 shots but to get as many as you can - the more you have the wider the grin and longer the cartridge bill. Lloyd90
Haha you just say you want it for vermin and clays ? I read on here somewhere that 1 guy had to list say 5 permissions that he used it on ? Also what about the fact of using it on new permissions mate ? Can you just use it like a normal shotty ? Or do you have to get the land cleared like for a FAC gun ? Cheers for the help mate
