TheHunter
I have a .243 on my FAC and do my own reloading. A friend has asked if I could make some rounds for his .223 and .308 Because i don't have these calibres on my FAC does anyone know what paperwork I need to sort to be able to do this legally. Thanks
harv
Assuming he has these calibres on his ticket you supervised him making them with your equipment. Otherwise you would be in possesion of ammunition you are not authorised to hold. I maybe corrected but i dont think you would get any dispensation on your ticket / paperwork to reload for somebody else if you dont possess these calibres. Magus69
You would have to apply for a variation to have those calibres added to your ticket, otherwise once you came into posession of expanding bullets or you made up non expanding rounds you would be commiting an offence. I don't see that firearms licensing would grant you permission for these calibres solely to load for someone else. The only way I can see round it is if your friend brought the components to you and sat there while you did it and left with all the rounds,or you took your reloading kit to his and did them there. Probably not what you wanted to hear sorry. Mike... Harv obviously types faster than me!!. Edited January 5, 2009 by Magus69

Vince Green
Technically, its illegal to reload ammunition and give/sell it to another. Even if you both have the right calibres on your certificates. Its one of these made up rule the police have devised to make life more awkward. They say you are only allowed to buy or reload for your own use. Pedantic or what?
