  1. 100% improvement this week.. 2 yay
  2. I went Saturday for the first time this year... Could't hit a barn door with a banjo in that wind. One for 10 shots
  3. ATec end of barrel mod, the only way to go
  4. You won't waste £25\£26 if the variation is declined you should get your money back. TH
  5. I was going to add my 2 peneth but I have too many guns!!! LMAO, Thanks Harnser PS go for the Beretta
  6. I have snakes for .17 .22 .24 .30 and 12bore and can't see a fray on any of them, how are you using them? I can't see how the cord would rub against anything long enough to wear! Drop the weight through the barrel, breech to muzzle, hold cord while turning rifle\gun to face you, wrap cord around hand (gloved if you have delicate hands) and pull. The cord doesn't rub against anything. Have i missed something here? TH
  7. I have the Pro in .243 and hate the stock with a vengance, after a few rounds the stock plastic warps enough to touch the barrel and move the group. I have looked high and low for a replacement stock and have finally come acress http://www.garycanegunstocks.com/?page_id=123 I am saving all my pennys because i think the Steyr Pro at the bottom of the page looks the dogs but not cheep. The stock was improved for the Steyr Pro II. After a moan about the stock I have to say the rest of the rifle is absolutly "Top Shelf" and I agree totally with all the not stock related praise. TH
  8. It's a good site, a little bit limited if you use Alliant or Vihtavuori powders. I got my .223 53gn hp 24gn of Varget recipe from there and have shot clover leaf groups since day one. TH
  9. Be careful not to lob off too much, you might end up with a "post office" edition!! not to be taken seriously.
  10. I can see deershooters point, if a tool is that important to you, you should have bought a higher quality item or have a spare. IMHO TH
  11. Hi Garyb, Yea it is the 223Rem. Dislikes light ammo and also the ogive on the 35grn vmax wouldn't feed in the mag but IMHO 35 is to light for a 223 anyways. TH
  12. No, really! bet the dogs could hear the whistle from miles away, LMAO
  13. Was that joke cleared by the BBC first? LMAO
  14. Don't get rid of them, if you have permission on a large field for pigeons, use the stingers to "move" the pigeons if they start landing out of range of your shotgun, safty first though remember a 22 has a lot more range than a shottie. TH
  15. Just thought I would send a quick update. Two years on and the rifle is flawless, since new i have had it screw cut and added an Atec end of barrel moderator. Doesn't like really light ammo 35grn but will clover leaf all day on 53grn HP. Nothing has broken and nothing has come lose super little gun. Oh also if you fire it with a muzzle break fitted, it has about the same kick as an air rifle, awsome. Thanks again for the advice TH
  16. Yay Picked up rifle tonight so I had enough time to clean and oil before the range tomorrow. I have made some rounds Lapua brass, 24gn varget and 58gn sierra HP. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks everyone TH
  17. Thanks everyone You've sold it as a winner, I pick it up on Sat. The wood stock on nickbeardos looks immac, has it been oiled? The one in the shop is slightly lighter. Thanks TH
  18. Has anyone had any dealings with this rifle? There is one on special and it looks the biz but I have never heard of them. Any info would be helpful. Cheers TH
  19. DaveB Don't accept that answer, that is a CPO making up their own rules, read my post above for the guidelines from an elected body. If you can secure it then buy it and stand your ground. Don't start jumping through imaginery hoops. TH
  20. Great result SS, I do like Lee, real good equipment and real people making it. Shame about MidwayUK not bothering their A**es to sort you out, Lee would have sent it to them and everyone would have been happy, just lazyness on MidwayUKs part and now a bit of bad PR! TH
  21. The number of guns advertised by the maker for your cabinet is totally irrelevant. If you can fit the gun in the cabinet and lock the door securely then you have complied with Home Office guidelines. If the Police tell you that you can only have 5 guns in a 5 gun cabinet then that is a lie. It has been known that some CPOs make up their own rules and try to enforce them in their own patch (5 guns in a 5 gun cabinet) being one of them. Firearms law is fickle enough in the UK without no-elected bodies making up more rules on a whim. If you want to stand your ground I would suggest politely making this point and enlisting the help of one of the recognised organisations to help you, BASC being a favourite to fight your corner. TH
  22. As far as I am aware they now have a life time guarantee, so the dealer should be able to sort you out. Didn't try to do a Berdan primer with it did you? TH
