VanRoy
Hi im new to this sport (shot guns) and im currently traveling 70miles round trip to the shooting ground which i find very good (Mendip) they have helped me through getting my shot gun licence , lesson, and advice on which gun i should buy. But i would like to try and find somewhere closer to home and as friendly and helpfull as they are up at Mendips. Can anyone help? eagle eyes
Hi, I Live in yate (someone has to) if you like sporting clays you wont go wrong with bristol clay shooting. They have two grounds with layouts that are changed on a weekly basis, everyone is friendly and there is always free tea/coffee on hand and a bacon butty if you get in fast enough  . I've shot down mendip a few times but find the distance a pain in the ***. steve

Windknot
3 seconds withb Google produced this --> http://www.bristolclayshooting.com/ Is that of any use? Nice crowd, nice shoot, and because they alternate between two sites they have a shoot on every Sunday.
arjimlad
By way of total contrast you would also be very welcome at the Chipping Sodbury Gun Club which shoots at Horton, fortnightly. The next shoot is this Sunday. It's £6 for 40 or 50 birds, we have a manual trap which we take turns in operating, and there's no facilities. Totally back to basics with emphasis on safe fun.
