henry d
Yes but we need more info, what are you intending to shoot ? Why do you need a "magnum" load ? Why is range important ??
asap
As ive got a 410 that takes 3 inch loads i just wondered if it was worth buying any.I know its range and capabilities with 2.5 carts and wondered if 3 inchers make much difference. Its used for pest control as is all of my guns and as for range thats what im trying to find out. cheers asap
Vince Green
The only thing the 3" has over the shorter cartridge is a bit more shot. They are not a true magnum in the sense of higher velocity or pressure. Best advice is buy some and see. The .410 cartridges are usually dearer than the cheapest 12b anyway so if you are worried about cost this is not the way to go.
codling99
3 inch 5 s ,ideal fro rabbits out to about 25/30 yds id say,any further and you could risk injuries and a runner.
asap
thanx thats what i wanted to know ,i will get some and try them. Its only a bit of a novelty gun that i can put in the tractor come harvest so cost shouldnt be a problem as i wont be having that many shots with it ,cheers asap
petrol_head29
i had a baikal 410 and used gamebor 3" 6 shot in it for rabbits, and the small cartridges for rats in barns. the 3" ones would nock rabbits over stone dead at 30 yards all day long smaller ones would kill a rat in a barn without doing any damage to anything else. ~kev~
If you looking for a 410 magnum load, is it time to move up to a 20 gauge?
