Ballymac
Have n't been out shooting much for a few months due to different reasons but got out on Friday. Two fields of barley that was left uncut and the birds have been flocking too in good numbers. Only problem was someone else was shooting it. Had a chance meeting with the farmers and asked for permission to shoot it. He said that his son and a friend shoot it. Ah well I thought that 's that. Then he said as long as it was during the week I could shoot it. Was too cold, sunny and no wind all week until Friday when there was a bit of cloud cover and a good wind. Got set up about 1.15 and shot to 3.30. 1 grey crow 7 crows and 2 rooks as well as 7 pigeons. Shooting by me was poor as haven't been out for a while. Could hit the crows but missed alot of pigeons. Towards the end I had my eye in. On saturday had a chance at the ducks. Ended up with 3 mallard. The first ducks of the season and possibly my last chance. Still it was good to get out
