lister1
anybody? there must be someone out there who can help! i was thinking about just removing the mod then running some warm soapy water through it, rinsing through then drying over a radiator and then giving a spray of wd40, would water do any damage? seb
I am sure a bottle brush is good to clean them. I haven't had to clean mine yet, a little muck in it helps deaden the sound. I think there are instructions on the hushpower site for cleaning them.

drut
I clean my Hushpowers using a phosphor bronze brush & WD40 then wipe out with cloth patches. Seems to work OK but noise levels go up when really clean.
vole
I find the bush being pushed back through when I screw the moderator back on loosens most of the soot .I am not too bothered about the mod as it is aluminium and wont rust. I do clean the barrel well though.I once bought a Pedretti Hushpower that had pitting around the holes drilled in the barrel.
lister1
unfortunatley its a bit older than the modern hushpowers. you can't take it apart to clean it. i'll just leave it alone and keep an eye on it.
