Places to get hide poles (or cheap equivalent) in Notts/Derby

I got some clothes props in Asda for < £3, but had to go to one of the bigger stores.

They're pretty sturdy with what looks like a fairly robust twist lock adjustment. The only

downside is that they are quite long and there's no spike on the bottom. I'm probbaly

going to bash the bottom flat, cut off at an angle and weld the edges to form a point.

They're steel so a bit heavier than custom aluminium hide poles, but not too bad.

Nial.

Castle Stores at Stoney Stratford,

£2.50 clothes prop's in black with locking nut thingy to adjust height, green plasic coating, had to spray the inner shaft black - took two mins and now have the cheapest hide poles going - and when l looked at the hide poles being sold at the Game Fair they were exactly the same - only the bottoms had been crimped and welded, with a foot peg added! they were £15 each!

Little gem like that make you smile when you see lads in the gunshop buying all the top range expensive kit!
