Bleeh
My girlfriend was handeling one of my jills, and all of a sudden the little *** made a really stinky, musky stench. What is this? do the spary? is it a sign there going on heat, or? I've handled with ferrets for years, never seen them do this though
Hoskinz
just the jill spraying mate maybe she is not used to your missus or she got frightened or just felt like marking her spot, not to sure why they do it really and im pretty sure its not a sign of her coming into season as males do it aswell
wingnut
Males and females do it when they feel nervous or threatened, its a warning, same as skunks do, i have just had my male hob down the vets and he stunk the place out because he was nervous. Huntinlass
As wingnut said its a sign they are frightened or feel threatened. Mine often do it when they are introduced to a new ferret Edited January 26, 2009 by Huntinlass
