Bedpan39
Turned up at Lowes Lane as usual with my lad Jem, Sun came out and everthing was looking dandy. Met up with Arfur, Steve and DaddyXmas. Straight out ot do a sporting round only to find Ashley been at it again!!!!! Everthing different and couldn't hit damn thing ended up with 21/50 After I'd been doing so well over the last few weeks. Went in for a steaming cup of tea with one sugar! Then out to try our luck again . Better this time 26/50. Buffalo Bill joined us this time and and nearly shot up to A Grade but fell off at the last two stands. Crafty devil he has his eyes on the C class prizes later on in the year we think. Time for dinner, usual very high standard in quality. amount. taste. thermal output. Lowes Lane is renowned for it's Breakfasts and Dinners. Many can't stand the shooting but still come for the Dinners . For a treat we all had a cadburys cream eg with a cuppa for afters.( how's that for Macho)? Then just time for a round of skeet, getting shockingly nippy by now. I shot a 23/25 others not far behind. Usually it's me not far behind. Poor old Jem was not felling too good with the cold. He usually beats the pant off me and so does Steve but I have improved lately. Try again next week at the friendliest Club in the Midlands. Maybe see you there?
Andy W
Lowes Lane is indeed an excellent ground, you always feel welcome and that your custom is appreciated and the breakfast alone is worth going for, we shall be making a return visit this year. ianram
Just started shooting again after the bext part of 20yrs and had an introductory lesson at Lowes Lane, going back again next weekend it's back in the blood. Really nice friendly feel to the club, very welcoming and the prices seem realistic Try the below address for a little more info http://www.loweslane.co.uk/index.shtml
