enemyofthecrow
seen a gun on surplus store website i like the look of and it takes 88 gram co2 bottles which are £20 for 2 it says prefilled so would i be right in assuming that you can refill them as the gun is semi auto fires twelve shots per clip which would soon run a bottle dry? and would get expensive at ten quid each especially with all the practicing i gotta do :look:
borntoshoot
no they are not. if this gun is a crossman nightstalker then dont bother. get a umarex/brocock 850 airmagnum. bolt action 8shot mag. uses the 88grm bottles. buy in bulk from www.tyreinflators.co.uk
Carbonrocket
These CO2 bottles are peiced when loaded so are throw away (recycle). It's a play on words Carbon
realtreedave
no they are not. if this gun is a crossman nightstalker then dont bother. get a umarex/brocock 850 airmagnum. bolt action 8shot mag. uses the 88grm bottles.buy in bulk from www.tyreinflators.co.uk same as above i was involved with the field trials of the air magnum before iut came on the market .and before anybody says,i didnt get anythingn out of it.this is a gun worth a second look.it produces enough power for hunting as quickly as you could nead it whilst giving you 150 shots per charge
larson
i think you can buy the co2 on ebay

realtreedave
the nightstalker would be ok for plinking but underpowered for hunting, plus american air rifles arent the greatest many americans regard them as nothing more than a childs toy.the airmagnums are pretty slick at feeding pellets if you give them a diet of air arms pellets

realtreedave
they dont like short or overly long pellets.they either tumble in the magazine or the skirts catch and end up giving you feed problems :o
staglioni
Could the bottles be adapted so you could refill with air? :o stag
realtreedave
co2 runs at a lot lower pressure than air.the canisters actualy contain liquid co2.the valves within the gun wouldnt stand the pressure
staglioni
Never knew that learnt something there so doe's that mean Co2 guns are not as powerfull as a air(pcp) rifles? :o stag
realtreedave
generaly they arent very powerful.the air magnum actualy runs at simmilar power levels to a pcp, about 11ftlbs,this is the result of very careful tweaking by brocock and walther.smk run a close second in the power stakes, about 9.5ftlbs[these are often tweaked up,check out the chinese gun forums].if you try and push too much co2 out you just end up with snow showers out the end f the barrel :o
