realtreedave
it makes a slight difference to the group sizes[tightens them up].for springers use a wax based lube such as pledge furniture polish.for pcps use oil based lubes such as wd40 or 3in1.personaly i have a cloth soaked in the lube in the bottom of my pellet pouch, and just let the pelets lube lube themselves as i move around

larson
i never lube the pellets. ive read post about it saying it can cause dieseling.. i belive this is were the oil burns in the barrel and it causes xtra were on the rifleing... i could try digging out a link but im sure i cant post links to other sites on here you could just try different pellets for a tighter group Edited February 7, 2009 by larson
libs
Like I said on another thread yesterday..... Try it !!! Cleaning then lubeing my pellets with bee's wax made a big difference on my groups with my old BSA meteor. If you use a springer, it may be best to avoid petrollium(spelling) based products as the air momentarily reaches 400ish C behind the pellet and will ignite any trace of oil. Dieseling results in p*** poor accuracy, very high velocity shots, lots of 'blue' smoke and a knackerd gun.
MM
might i also add that it can put your sub 12lb rifle over the legal limit. if your all lubed up and it gets checked, you might get problems. :o

staglioni
I I allways use power pell lube but after Dave and a few more mentioned furniture polish, wich is silicone based i think! so i think our lasses polish will save me a fortune :o stag
03luffmb
Is there any risks of your gun messing up from lubing the pellets ?
staglioni
Non at all unless its a springer so then you would use a felt pad wth lube on in your container. I doesn't have to be soaked just moist, or as Dave said a bit of old rag. :o stag
