gdunc
When does he whine, when alone or in your company? Does he whine when working on the peg etc.? Do you know the previous owner / trainer? Sorry for all the questions just trying to get the full picture!
jntree
he only sqweeks when we get home dont matter who's hear just me and my partner most of the time, i do have contact with the previous owner and they told me that he had never done this before and seemed very abbrupt about the dilema there's no real reason that i can see for him to do this!!! fallarben
this squeeking could just be excitement with him i have a fantastic work dog here that when i open the kennel door and let him out he squeeks like mad but never makes a sound when out working so your dog may be the same it could be that he just winds him self up till he just has to let go
GW80
It's sounds like separation anxiety, my youngest springer was the same, it will probably pass mine still whines now and again but not just as often, spaniels are known for it! hedge hunter
Hi there mate, iv also got a springer that does this, hes only 7months so im hoping it will pass with time, however its very annoying isnt it. Mine is kennelld outside so i just put it down to excitment when let out for excercise, also sometimes he does it when hes busy working, however when he does settle down he stops, then it starts all over again when we back in the car, hope you resolve your problem, cheers all hedge hunter
Skippy
I was talking to someone about this last night. The worse thing to do apparently is to make any form of sound back to the dog, i was advisedto get a wter sprayer and give him a small squirt if he sqeeks or whines. But i know what you mean about annoying and mine is only just coming up to 5 months old! good luck
