Warlock
I wonder if anyone could guide me to someone who sells hardback ordnace survey map books preferably online or a highstreet store, with the scale 1:25000 or 1:50000 i have found the fold out ones but they fall apart and are generally rubbish to give to farmers to draw on so thought i would invest in a book to combine all my A4 maps. it`s for the Dover/Deal area. Thankyou in advance.
Spaniel
If your local book shop dont do it, OS are based in Southampton and they have a shop down their selling vaious maps etc, i expect they are on line
Cushat
OS have a decent website where you can buy all their maps online. Never heard of hardbook versions (other than Road Atlas type) but they do a laminated version which is more durable. If you've already got a load of A4 maps why don't you laminate them before handing to farmers - will last much longer and sure you can find someone in a office who'd do it for a favour

Warlock
I have checked the OS website and all they have is the foldup maps which are abit awkward, if i can`t find a hardback map book then i suppose i will have to get a foldup map and photocopy each A4 section and hand those to farmers. Thankyou for the pointers so far.
Cranfield
The book you want is not exactly a "hardback", more a "hardishback". Its major advantage is that it sets the maps out in pages, rather than the origami nightmare that is the folded OS maps. Most newsagents, WHSmith, even some garages, etc., sell them. Warlock
That sounds about the ticket, anyone know what they are called or who makes them? hoping i can find on-line rather than paying high street price. 1:25000 is the scale i need for maximum detail. Cranfield
I have just got mine out of the truck, its for the area you want (coincidentally). Philips Street Atlas, East Kent. Marked price £9.99 . It covers the area from Sheerness in the North, Broadstairs/Deal to the East, Maidstone/Tenterden in the West and Lydd/Folkestone in the South. I bought it in WHSmith, Folkestone.
