MerseaDavid Posted February 14, 2009 Report Share Posted February 14, 2009 I normally get to the field for about 9am and shoot it until 4:30 pm unless I am roost shooting later, then I will only shoot it until 3:45. Tis1979 Posted February 14, 2009 Report Share Posted February 14, 2009 Hey mate, I would say it all depends on the the fields and surroundings, one of the fields i shoot you need to be set up by first light for the first flight another field i wouldn't bother setting up till 10:30am. My advice get out there mate and watch what they are doing on say three consecutive days at differant times (minimum) this will give you your answer. hope this helps and doesn't sound like im being funny. it really is the best way to know when to shoot fields of rape. mikee Posted February 14, 2009 Report Share Posted February 14, 2009 i would say get to the fields about day break and watch to see where the birds are feeding, let them feed until the first birds start flighting back to their woods or sitty trees and then walk the rest off, dont shoot at them just walk them off, then try to get to where they were feeding this will give you the best chance of a few shots, with this cold frosty weather the birds must feed every day to stay alive, they may choose to feed else where but this is probably your best chance, mikee Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
